Paris Day 3! I'm going to live in Giverny someday

We got up nice and early today and left at 7:30am to Giverny! It’s a 2 hour drive, and we rented a bus. Most people just slept and rested, I did my blog for yesterday and that took me the whole time haha. It really was a long one!

Ok Giverny. Ohh myyy goodness. I cannot even describe how beautiful it was. Green and beautiful and so many flowers everywhere! Giverny is where Monet’s house and gardens were. His house was so fun. It’s kinda crazy colors, the outside is pink and green and each room had a different theme. There was one that was all yellow and a then also very blue room. His kitchen was kind of beautiful it had amazing blue and white tiling and all copper dishes. It was so crazy to be able to see everything that he painted, especially the bridge and water! There weren’t any water lilies unfortunately so that was a little sad, but it was still incredible. We took sooo many pictures! Mckinley even took some for me on her digital camera that turned out super nice.

Right before we left we saw some chickens and a HUGE rooster. The picture does not do it justice he was big big big.

Next up was another hour long bus ride to Versailles. We got distracted in the gift shop and Satchel and I SPRINTED to the bus in order to make it on time. I was pretty tired after that and my feet are still screaming from yesterday haha. It was a nice break and I was able to rest my eyes for a bit.

We stopped to eat our lunches outside of the palace of Versailles haha here's a pic of the group.

Then we went into the courtyard and took some pictures. You can see where my beef with the lady in red starts and then how it ends. Ugh! But I still got some cute ones without her ;)

We spent quite a long time in the palace but there was just so much to see. It was so incredible. Every room had amazing artwork and so much gold. I said that I think I'd like to go back in time and be a French king so I could live in this palace but then I remembered that in the end they got their heads chopped off so I actually think I'm good.

We also got to see the gardens but it was quite rainy and cold out so we didn't stay long, but still cool to be able to have been in them!

That is actually pretty much all of my day. We took the train back to the hostel which did take a while because Versailles isn't super close to where we are saying. Then I did unfortunately end up taking a 3 hour nap from 6:30-9:30. It was supposed to be 20 minutes but I don't even remember turning my alarm off! I woke up, checked my phone, saw that there was cake downstairs for a belated bday celebration for Rob, went downstairs and got cake, came back upstairs, and went back to bed! I was honestly surprised I was able to fall back asleep but I guess that just shows how tired I was.

Au revoir!
