Free day today! So of course I just lounged around all morning after breakfast haha. Laying in bed is the best feeling ever and it’s so nice to have a day where you know you don’t have to get going at 7am. We ended up getting a group together to go get lunch and the viral cookie croissants so me, Marie, Ellie, and Sienna headed out at about 1 for a nice little walk to a restaurant.
The restaurant ended up not having room for walk ins but we did happen upon the Namenmonument (Holocaust name monument) so we spent some time there walking around.
Then we found a bagel spot and I have actually been DYING for a bagel so we went there and oh it was so good. Really hit the spot. And the guy was so nice, he kept asking us how the food was and he was just very cheerful and friendly. Hit up Tony’s New York bagels if you’re ever in Amsterdam. After bagels we also found 1 euro milka chocolate bars at the market across the street so ofc we had to get some of those. Such a good price for chocolate here and it is gooood chocolate.
There was a flea market right across the street from where we were so of course we went to check that out. There was a lot of clothing stalls, a lot of jewelry stalls, and a lot of weed themed memorabilia stalls. There is so much weed here haha, some of the streets you walk down it’s like every other store. I didn’t end up getting anything but Ellie bought some jewelry and we got some cute pics.

After we finished up there we were on a mission to find this place called Lourens for a cookie croissant which, for those if you not in the know, is a treat that went viral on social media. Basically it’s a croissant stuffed with underbaked gooey cookie dough and then topped with more cookie dough. I was trying to keep my expectations low because you know how social media people are, but I was actually so blown away. It was phenomenal. Ooey and gooey and rich and chocolately and it paired so good with the flaky buttery croissant. I've already found where I can get them in Vienna because it's not a want it's a need.

After our spiritual experience with the crookies, Ellie and I headed out to do some shopping while Marie and Sienna went back to the hostel because Marie wasn’t feeling well :( Ellie and I went to Mango, Bershka, and Pull and Bear to start off. Then we found T.K. Maxx! Like TJ Maxx but European. It was huge it had like 4 floors. But that wasn’t even my favorite because after that we went to Primark. I will forever be lamenting the fact that we don’t have many Primarks in the states. It was wonderful. Also like 5 floors and everything was such good prices and still good quality and cute! Of course I bought 3 tops that I have no room for!
After Primark, Ellie and I headed back to the hostel with a stop on the grass in front of the hostel to chat with some people and soak in some sun. All in all it was a beautiful and successful day!
